Ein guter Einstieg für konkrete Lizenzen mit einem Überblick über die Rechte & Pflichten einzelner Lizenzen. Allerdings sind diese auch mit etwas Vorsicht zu genießen - sie sind zwar teilweise von Anwälten und Experten qualitätsgesichert, aber eben nicht alle (https://tldrlegal.com/verified). Insbesondere wenn man eine Lizenz kommerziell nutzen möchte, sollte das nicht die einzige Quelle bleiben.

Dieser praxisnahe Artikel diskutiert die Lizenz AGPL (Affero GPL), die für Cloud-Services entwickelt wurde (Software as a Service). Bei Cloud-Services erfolgt nach rechtlicher Auffassung keine "distribution" der SW. Damit bleiben aber andere Lizenzen (wie z.B. GPL) in der Regel wirkungslos, weil dort auf genau dieses Kriterium "distribution" abgestellt wird. Bei AGPL wird deshalb die "network interaction" in den Mittelpunkt gestellt.
